The NC Cooperative Extension Lenoir County Center is launching a Donation Station program to engage the community in supporting local food, local farmers, and food security efforts. Farmer’s Market shoppers will be able to purchase fresh produce and eggs from farmers and vendors and then donate them to the donation station table. Buyers can also offer a monetary donation, which will then be used to purchase fresh produce and eggs from farmers at the market at their full value. At the end of each market, donated produce and eggs will be donated to the Salvation Army to serve their customers. Donation Station will be at the Farmers Market on the following dates and times:

Dates and time:

July 16 – 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
