Bonney Lake summer season begins

BONNEY LAKE, WA – Summer has officially arrived at Bonney Lake. The city kicked off its summer event season with Wednesday’s outdoor market, but if you missed it, don’t worry, there are plenty of other events coming up this summer.
Here’s a look at what is and isn’t coming back this summer:
Return events
The Outdoor Market and Tunes at Tapps are back at Allan Yorke Park. Both events will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday from July 7 to September 1.
The Kids Club will offer performances of classical, new age and world music suitable for children. The shows start at 6:30 p.m. at Allan Yorke Park and will take place every Monday from July 26 to August 30.

Pending or canceled events
Bonney Lake Days 2020 has been canceled, but this year’s event is still pending. Normally, the festival has two days of live performances, vendor booths, and contests, but city leaders say they have yet to decide whether it will return this summer.
Movie in the Park may or may not return this summer as well, although the city has promised an update on this event soon.
National Night Out, an annual event hosted by the Bonney Lake Police Department and East Pierce Fire and Rescue to raise awareness about crime and drug prevention, has been canceled. He will return in August 2022.
The annual Salute to the Armed Forces 2021 is also pending. Traditionally one of the most popular summer events, the city says it is still working on a plan to bring the event back.
